FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

  • WHAT IS YOUR CANCELLATION POLICY?

​We allow cancellations with full refund outside of 3 weeks of the first day of your reservation. 50% refunds will be issued outside of 2 weeks, and no refunds will be issued within 2 weeks. Note: (All refunds incur a processing fee)

  • I HAVE A TRUCK. CAN I TOW/MOVE THE TRAILER? 

​At Cook County Teardrop we deliver/setup your accommodations where you have secured a campsite. Relocation (by any means) from or within the campsite is not allowed. 

  • DO YOU ALLOW DOGS? 

​We get it - we love dogs too! We welcome well behaved, potty trained dogs weighing less than 50 lbs (Bean) and 30 lbs (Vistabule) to adventure with you. Please note that an extra fee for cleaning ($40) will be added so your Cook County Teardrop rental can be made ready for the next guest. Never leave your dog in the trailer unattended. 

  • WHERE SHOULD I RESERVE A CAMPSITE? DO YOU HAVE ANY SUGGESTIONS?

​​For the best experience with your Cook County Teardrop, we suggest reserving a campsite first and then booking your trailer rental so we can ensure everything is set up when you arrive.

Visit the (How It Works) page but in the meantime, here are some of our favorites:

  • Cascade River State Park campground 

  • Devils Track Lake campground 

  • Municipal campground Grand Marais

 

​​Cook County Teardrop trailers are self-contained so there is no need to get a site with hook-ups. Reserving a basic campsite will do. Trailer dimensions are  8'x15'. 

 

  • WHEN SHOULD I ARRIVE AT MY RESERVED CAMPSITE?

Contact us and let us know when you plan to arrive and we will communicate all the details with you. We deliver the Cook County Teardrop to your location and help you get settled in. 

  • DOES THE TRAILER HAVE RUNNING WATER?

​Your rental will be equipped with 15 gallons (Bean) 9 gallons (Vistabule) of potable water; designed to last up to a 2 to 3 night rental with conservative, thoughtful water use. 

  • ARE THERE SHOWERS OR BATHROOMS?

​Cook County Teardrop trailers are not equipped with bathrooms or showers. Please ask your campsite contact about shared showers/bathrooms they might have. 

  • WHEN SHOULD I ARRIVE TO SELECT MY FIRST COME FIRST SERVE SNF Campsite? 

Cook County tourism is at its peak during late spring through to early fall. It's best to arrive no later than Noon (12:00pm) to select a campsite. If you can arrive earlier, please do, it will increase your chances of getting a site.

 

  • FOR TRAVEL DURING COOLER MONTHS. WILL I BE COMFORTABLE AT NIGHT?

Cook County Teardrop trailers are insulated and equipped with propane heat, but we also provide electric blankets

Refundable Damage and Cleaning deposit?

A deposit of $255.00 dollars will be in your initial charge when reserving your teardrop. This deposit will be returned (less processing fee) in full on the return of a undamaged and tidy teardrop.

Tidy: Wiped down counter tops, dishes, silverware, refrigerator and stove. Mud free sleeping area.
